With the help of Piktochart, I was assigned to create an infographic about one blog post from Avinash Kaushik’s web analytics blog, Occam’s Razor. I chose to adapt his post about how to not suck at social media for business, specifically for Youtube. I should note that in his post, Kaushik provides a link to Youtube’s press page to reference out-dated statistics about the platform that have since been updated, the latter which I used. Apart from that, the majority of his information still stands true today.

For this week’s assignment, we were tasked to take a course through Codecademy. Since I don’t know much about coding, I chose the “Learn HTML” course to get a grasp on the basics of building web pages. Ultimately, I found this it be very interesting and engaging, and even found myself motivated to try out other courses as well. I can confidently say that I have learned something new out of this experience! Below is a screenshot of the badges I earned from my completion of the course.

In my pursuit of finding which sites have the highest number of trackers using the Disconnect add-on, I landed on Amazon which Disconnect alerted me that the website had 28 tracking requests. This doesn’t surprise me as much, given that it is essentially the Internet’s most popular shopping site.
